Join us on Saturday, Sept, 10th, as we learn how to make berimbaus. We will take the afternoon to go over the basics of making your very own berimbau. From beginning to end we will go over pealing the bark off, cutting to length, preparing the cabaça, a demonstration of pulling wire from tires and making the arame loops. Everything that you need to know about how a berimbau is made, and finally taking the one that you make home with you.
Price for the workshop will be $125 and we will be limited to 15 spots. We will provide the materials for making berimbaus and have some tools available, but would ask you to bring some tools of your own so that we can make sure that we have enough to go around during the different stages of the process. Tools to bring if you have access to them; chisel, gloves, orbital sander, hammer(you may not have any of these tools, but if you do, awesome!),
Location will be at the studio. 22491 Foothill Blvd, Hayward, 94541
